The #PPZ8 drum set I have been using for the last six years (first used in one of the bonus tracks of my #Redditaisai2019 #Touhou #FMsynthesis #chiptune album #SynthesizedMemories, then expanded over the years with additional percussions), has been retired from service. Moving forward, a new, different, better-​organized drum bank (mostly sourced from a freeware, copyright-​cleared drum VST, but bitcrushed to conform to #PCMsynthesis chiptune standards) will be put into service.

My annoyance at DX7-style 6-operator FM synthesis being discovered and celebrated by a generation young enough to have avoided the indoctrination of the weirdly conservative (in the nonpolitical sense) boomer/genx-era synthesizer enthusiast community that anything with menu-based programming is categorically unusable is that now there are more people competing with me and DX7 prices are rising. Thank goodness for Dexed!
