Yet another Tian Cai Xiao Zi game pickup, Chuang Dang Jiang Hu: Tang Men (闖蕩江湖-唐门). This one was slightly annoying as the seller showed a blue cart and instead I got mine inside of a clear Everdrive (copycat?) shell. The questions: Are the PCB and label the originals? Was this a shell swap? The PCB looks convincing and the label... looks yellowed enough?

What do cool kids use to convert a PNG to a GB Color equivalent for GBStudio?
I need something to reduce the number of tiles and colours. Images can be bigger than 160x144. I want options (limit the number of palettes, dithering on/off...)
Essentially a tool take a PNG and output an optimised PNG.
Any tips?

I'm making a GBC game!
Been hard at work on it and there'll be a demo coming out soon. It's a narrative adventure platformer about a very drunk bunny making poor decisions in a small town being affected by tourism.
My Chinese copy of Monster Dragon Tactics Card has mysteriously started working again, though it erased my save file -.-
At this rate, just gambling on playing my English multicart version would be better (maybe I should never remove it from my Gameboy lol).
I sure hope this game can be somehow dumped and made to work even if in Chinese cuz I'd really like to play it.

Finished! The 6th course was the most difficult for me. The last 3 courses took less tries to finish. Check this game out if you are interested.
After playing What if Outrun GB I longed for more. So I bought Hero GB by @egvroom.bsky.social and have been playing it now. Difficulty is good, as it gets a little more difficult the further you get along. Got gold on the first 6 courses so now onto the final 3! #gameboycolor #gbc #retrogaming
