I made another attempt today at my ongoing quest to reobtain older games from my past. This time I found some success.

Two games from my past: Final Fantasy IV on the Nintendo DS (left) and Yu-Gi-Oh! Dark Duel Stories (right).

Final Fantasy IV was sort of a reimagining from the original released on the SNES (and as Final Fantasy II in the United States because reasons). If I recall, the usable characters were given a bit of a changeup and the bosses were a little different compared to the SNES release.

Yu-Gi-Oh! was actually not mine; rather, it was my brother's, but I don't know if he kept his copy after all this time. To be fair, he was a much bigger Yu-Gi-Oh! fan than I ever was, which would explain how he ALWAYS kept winning against me.

Final Fantasy IV with its manual that I somehow kept this whole time, in the case they come in. When I got the game, it didn't come with the instruction manual or case.

When my collection of DS games were stolen, it was because I kept all the games in one case that held them all at all times on the off chance I had to travel. That was more common than one would think. In hindsight, that was a mistake.
