It's been a very good weekend indeed:
1. Had a fabulous platinum facial on Friday (my first) followed by drinks with some South African friends
2. Saw Frankenstein yesterday (5⭐️) and had a big Greek meal to celebrate my late mum's birthday
3. Went for a Thai massage today, followed by a pub stop and my first stew of the season
I can finally feel myself emerging from a pretty dark period of time

I arrived at #SLECBuffalo on Nov. 1, 2023.
On Jan. 3, 2024 I found a letter on my desk from our organist saying, “I quit.” (It was a little longer, but that was the essence). Ever since then we’ve been using a digital hymnal thing attached to the organ. It’s difficult to use, time consuming, and doesn’t produce the best music.
I convinced the Vestry to purchase another digital hymnal that I used 15-20 years ago. We got some funds to help, and it arrived last week. This one is so much better in all ways; so much so that I spent yesterday afternoon loading in all our music from Lent 3 to Easter 7.
Now we need a better speaker.

After not being able to properly weight train for 2 months due to chronic sinusitis, I guess it's not bad that I got within 5kg of my personal best with weighted pull-ups tonight. Still feel so weak though. Oh well, at least the new meds seem to be helping so win, I guess?

I had PT this morning. Because I’ve started some new things a few weeks ago and I’ve been concentrating on form, I anticipated weights going up. Oh boy did they. We’ve added actual weights to the smith machine. I now move 21.5kg (which is more than my goblet squats). I’ve also added 2.5kg to my barbell bent over row (so now at 27.5kg). I’ve added a whole plate to my seated leg curls so now 42.5kg. But they’re not my biggest gains. #gym #gettingbetter #personaltraining

Still in hospital. It’s been over a week, for something (laminectomies) that was only supposed to be 2 to 3 days. However, I have received very good care and do not have to pay for one penny of it.
