#gmobile now makes it easy to add timers that wake the system from suspend:

Dear distro maintainers and "i build my own stuff" people:

In case you want to check out 0.47 relesase upfront: we've tagged the first releases candidates (0.47~rc1) of #phosh and related components 🎉

Release is planned 2025-05-18 (gitlab.gnome.org/World/Phosh/p)

We've also tagged the companion releases for #gmobile 0.3.0 and #feedbackd 0.8.2 / feedbackd-device-themes 0.8.3 already.

2025-03-22

In preparation for the upcoming phosh release we've released new versions of #gmobile 0.2.0 and #feedbackd 0.8.0. Feedbackd is now more flexible regarding haptic feedback for events so if e.g. feedback is too intrusive (or too weak) you can consider submitting adjustment for your device to source.puri.sm/Librem5/feedbac

#gmobile 0.2.1 is out 🎉 adding hwdb (or should we call it buttondb 🙃) entries for the #PinePhone Pro, OnePlus 6/6T, Juno Tablets and #bluetooth devices using the AVRCP profile,

(We made this 0.2.1 rather than 0.3.0 to indicate that it's fine to backport to stable releases).

When working on the #gmobile #hwdb bits for #phosh I noticed there's no syntax highlighting in #emacs for those so I added some:

github.com/agx/systemd-hwdb-mo

Happy about any improvements as my #elisp isn't great.

#gmobile 0.2.0 is out 🚀 . This version adds the udev rules and first hwdb entries to mark keys and buttons as not unblanking the screen on press (like volume rockers or menu/back capacitive buttons).

phoc 0.39.0 will make use of this. We moved things into a library rather than phoc itself so other compositors can make use of it too.

#gmobile 0.1.0 is out. Besides adding support for a new device (Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite) it's also now a shared lib (as updating it in >5 projects became cumbersome):

@cassidy @mort When running #phosh just add the notch info to #gmobile and you're done.

For fullscreen apps this needs Wayland protocol support. This is work in progress (but the compositor already uses the same info).

A gnome-shell extension could just pick up the same info.

See phosh.mobi/posts/notch-support

I have a LG G Watch R (lg-lenok) with .

I wanted to reflash asteroidos anyway and could try to get running. the 3.2GB flash and the 291MB ram might tight though.

Finally got to look at this again and instead of just pushing down #phosh's top panel we now place the clock to the left or right based on the available space. The logic is still pretty simple but it covers the cases where we have data for in #gmobile. Will try to land this in 0.29.0.
