I think @tinker got me started looking at #phones and I want something to be excited about.
The #HMD fusion looks actually interesting as a smartphone. That connector on the back? Yeah, a new and genuinely useful feature! When did that last happen?

An extension to the sides and rear to have game controls (dpad and stick on the left, 4 buttons and stick on the right? Shoulder buttons/triggers on the rear of the side extensions?)

Question for US #hams: the yearly renewal price for our PO Boxes -- the ones we use to anonymize our home addresses on the public #FCC #ULS databases -- keeps going up. I just renewed mine for $182/yr (central #Texas). At what point is it no longer worth keeping a PO Box and publishing our home addresses on our FCC registrations? I value the safety of speaking truth to power without risking a bad actor showing up at my front door, but safety is expensive.

Сегодня я практически превратил свой Quansheng uv-k5 (8) в QRP стационарный трансивер.
Пришлось отредактировать модель подставки с thingiverse от UI1OPK чтоб она была совместима с адаптером питания для прикуривателя и не мешала вывести провод. Таким образом моя станция будет беспрерывно питаться от солнечной электростанции 24/7. К сожалению пока нет возможности подключить внешнюю антену в замен портативной, но я работаю над этим.

Если кто не знает, держите в голове, что ширина клипсы у раций от Baofeng и Quansheng разная. Если для примера взять модель держателя клипсы с thingiverse.com для UV5R и масштабировать её в cura до размеров совместимых с UV-K5, то разница становится довольно наглядной, по этому стоит предварительно снять замеры.
