I wish #AI talked more like the computer on #StarTrek: emotionless staccato voice, artificially high register with vocabulary limited to the task at hand, no use of the first person pronoun, so you know it's a machine. If it doesn't know something it should just say "Unable to comply" instead of making stuff up. Instead the #llms we have today talk like #holodeck characters with the safeties turned off. Or Mudd's obsequious androids who wanted to "serve" humans in order to enslave them.

3/n ...anstelle zweidimensionaler Fotos die Umgebung ad hoc als 3D-Objekt einzuscannen und als .glTF-Exportdatei direkt in #HoloDeck zu visualisieren.

Besonders spannend finde ich im Gespräch mit den Besuchern dann immer, wie das Gerät die #Fantasie dazu anregt, sich weitere #Einsatzmöglichkeiten vorzustellen.

Die zugrunde liegende #Hardware der kalifornischen Firma #TiltFive wird übrigens durchgängig als hervorragender Kompromiss zwischen Preis- und Leistung wahrgenommen.

1/n Heute nun ein paar Bilder von meiner interaktiven #HoloDeck Präsentation als Teil des #JLU #Gießen Stands auf der gestrigen #EduNext25 in #Frankfurt.

Es war ordentlich Betrieb auf der #Konferenz und die #HoloDeck-Interessenten mußten teilweise in einer längeren Warteschlange ausharren, bevor sie das #AugmentedReality System selbst erleben konnten.

Leider bin ich dann immer ziemlich eingespannt, so dass ich für #SocialMedia selten #Fotos mit Leuten am Gerät zustande bringe... ;-)

3/n Als nächstes werde ich hoffentlich am 19.11.25 einen weiteren Kurs am Fachbereich Veterinärmedizin der #JLU im Institut für #Parasitologie anbieten können (Details mit Anmeldungs-URL folgen in Kürze) und das #HoloDeck dann am 26.11.25 auf der #EduNExt25 in Frankfurt vorstellen.

2/n Neben diversen Proteinen haben wir zur Abwechslung auch mal mit der Internationalen #Raumstation (#ISS) gespielt (#NASA und #ESA bieten umfangreiche 3D-Objektdateien im .glTF-Format zum Download an) und binnen weniger Minuten mit der #Smartphone App "#Scaniverse" vor Ort das Medienlabor digitalisiert und im #HoloDeck angeschaut.
Bequemer und vielseitiger geht es eigentlich nicht... ;-)
