New addition to the bookshelf, ‘Ocean Life in the Time of Dinosaurs’ by Bardet et al. First impressions are positive. It’s great to see obscure groups getting coverage with plenty of diagrams and artwork, not just the #plesiosaurs, #ichthyosaurs and #mosasaurs.

This #FossilFriday a special Jurassic ichthyosaur fossil arrived at Wollaton Hall on loan from the University of Nottingham.

This is the type specimen of Protoichthyosaurus applebyi, which is going on display in a new gallery of dinosaur-age fossils opening this summer at the #NottNatHist museum.
