Está tablet es del 2014 y hoy sigue viva gracias a Resurrection Remix, una ROM libre entre otras tantas que permiten liberar dispositivos de la obsolecencia programada. Se tiró de la mesa al enterarse del movimiento que Google planea para septiembre de este año (👉 https://keepandroidopen.org/es/ )... Si F-Droid queda bloqueado en ese 95% del mercado, el proyecto pierde masa crítica, financiación, contribuidores... y consecuentemente mantenedores 😡.

My unprovable conspiracy theory about #Google and #KeepAndroidOpen is one word: #YouTube. I feel like the whole effort to lock down #Android is actually part of the campaign against Ad Blockers on YT. Locking down the system allows them to cut off apps like #NewPipe. It could also be that they want to fully go down the iOS / Apple route but something tells me YT money is part of it.

The only proof we need that our security and privacy tools work is the push for age verification and registered developers. The push for these laws and policies are nothing more than blatant attempts to turn every single hoster, developer, moderator, etc... into criminals for not making users easy to spy on by states or have data harvested from by corporations. It is also an attempt to deflect liability away from abuses on corporate platforms.
But the assholes pushing this shit forget something, the same people they are targeting hold up the entire internet. Go ahead and keep calling your politicians, but I think it is time to go further.
Sabotage.
Your labour and projects are yours. Your skills and abilities are yours. The same people threatening you rely on your projects. I propose we threaten back. Not only refuse to comply, but threaten to sabotage projects to prevent the people threatening you from using them.
The FLOSS world belongs to the people not the politicians or capitalists. They have no right to tell us what we shall must do. When they forget this we remind them with fire. This is a call for a #CyberRiot to remind them. Start with injecting warnings that they are forced to see, but have actions ready.

We need to massively #Degoogle fast! Or many of our beloved #FLOSS applications will stop working on certified #android phones, as many developpers will refuse the new conditions set up by #google , under the pretext of complying with #EU new #regulations for the protection of users. These terms will apply to any apps, even if they are made available on another store than #PlayStore, like @fdroidorg, or not.

Ya me salio el nuncio en NewPipe sobre #keepandroidopen y su suspensión de actualizaciones futuras a teléfonos certificados por la G de gafam

37 Organisationen — darunter CCC, F-Droid, KDE, Nextcloud, Tor Project und EFF — haben Google in einem offenen Brief aufgefordert, die geplante Pflichtregistrierung für Android-Entwickler zurückzunehmen.

Besonders brisant: Punkt 4 des Briefes warnt, dass Google damit die Möglichkeit bekommt, jede App auf allen Android-Geräten weltweit zu sperren — ohne transparente Begründung, ohne Einspruchsmöglichkeit, per Knopfdruck. Eine einzige unkontrollierbare Konzernentscheidung als globaler App-Schalter. 🔴
