I didn't quite like my boring, grey-ish desk lamp, so I sanded it, painted it white and started #doodling...

It's not "perfect" and it doesn't have to. It's mine and I love it! 🥰🥳

A typical desk lamp socket and shade attached to a retractable arm. The socket and shade are covered with white paint and squiggly lines are drawn on it in various colors. Some areas on the back are covered with randomly drawn shapes that are filled with even more colored squiggly lines, dots or a mix of both.

The Socket is covered in mostly black dots and striped lines, with a few geometric shapes and lines. On the bottom of the socket, blue color looks like it is dripping onto a solid black undergrund.

It has a hat, that looks a bit like a mushroom, also covered with black dots and lines in alternating patterns.

The area around the smiley is covered with randomly drawn lines that are repeating the outline of the face on the left, but running from top to bottom in dotted or striped fashion on the right of the face, surrounding a pink heart with solid black outline. The brim is covered with oddly shaped spots in black and white.

A 20 minute walk and cup of comforting lemon ginger tea, and I think I can finish the last couple of tasks of the day. Then it's on to cooking dinner and hopefully working on my #quilt. I hit a minor obstacle and put it away for months. I'm ready to get it back out and #MakeSomething.

Got a little crafty (and punny) for the holidays. Broke out my wood burner on some blank hot plates.
