My printer has reached a usable state of functionality again. I
Everyone rags on #Marlin, but it's been good to me. Unlike #Klipper, I can consistently make it do what I want.
Last time I tried Klipper, it couldn't handle my movement system and so even homing was problematic.
But now I can print at 300mm/Sec and not overrun the hot end, so time to break things and try #klipper again. I guess.
I love a reasonably priced watch that looks smart. Punches above its weight a bit!

The explanation of the maths behind Smooth Linear Advance is great. One of the obstacles to using FT-Motion for me was the lack of a clear description of the theory behind this mechanism - in fact, I have not found a single article that explains in principle the inner workings of FT-Motion with formulas and numerical calculations.

I just completed the revamping of my old ANET-A6 3d-printer. With the help of one of my #arduino , I flashed a new #optiboot bootloader (BTW: thanks to ArduinoISP) and, right after, the great #marlin firmware.
Even tough I'm well inside the Free/Open-Source-Software dynamics, I still feel surprised about how much excellent and valuable open-source software are here around, jsut waiting to be adopted!
