Habe einen #Tronxy #X5SA Pro neu in meinem Maschinenpark und hab aus. Versehen den getriebeuntersetzten Extruder geschrottet. Hab den jetzt gegen einen Vollaluminium-Extruder getauscht, muss jetzt aber in der Firmware (#marlin) noch die Umsetzung einstellen, weil der Extruder Motor mindestens doppelt so schnell läuft.
Über #Pronterface via USB wollte ich die Daten auslesen mit #M503 bekomme aber ausgerechnet an der Stelle keine Rückmeldung.
Ich brauche hier Hilfe
So I opened the #gcode file and identified the layers (luckily #cura comments out every layer start). I took note of the last printer layer height (checking the only instruction with a Z in it) and removed from the first layer to the 21st. I left in place all the initialization dance and added, between it and the start of the 22st layer, an instruction to move the print head to the previously discovered Z height. I saw the gcode says #Marlin #firmware, so I searched in the Marlin's documentation: https://marlinfw.org/docs/gcode/G000-G001.html

Marlin Racing
When I first introduced Marlin, it seemed the only OO framework which could beat its constructor in speed was the one generated by the new Perl core class keyword. Which seems fair, as that’s implemented in C and is tightly integrated with the Perl interpreter. However, I’m pleased to say that Marlin’s constructors are now faster.

I converted from a run of the mill #bltouch to a #bdsensor and so far it's awesome, but it's for a few quirks I'm nailing down.
Height is crucial to good operation but it's also low enough that if you get it wrong you're smacking the print with the sensor or it's not working.
Building bed meshes in seconds is amazing, but I also found that moving the price up after meshing can cause a failure.
Marlin works but particularly while tinkering is a lot of back and forth, the big gotcha that #Marlin has against it. Compiling.
Realistically; #Klipper would be my best bet but every time I go down that route I get burned.

Sunday #DailyTracks : Needless to say tagging of #AI music tracks will not likely be the helpful thing you want it to be anytime soon. #StreamingPlatforms have inherent motivation to see these tracks take spool like hungry #Marlin ‘ as most of the profit is self generating feedback at zero cost. You can spend a lot of time filtering the crap out or wait for more general solutions. Ideally you know what music made by real humans sounds like and keep that fire burning

SAN analyzed cellular signals outside the #Portland ICE facility last weekend as President Donald Trump attempted to deploy National Guard troops to a city he described as “war-ravaged.”
SAN analyzed signals using a device called Marlin. The scans detected over half a dozen IMSI-exposure ratios above 10%, and three separate 18% spikes in just a one-hour window — significantly higher than what the Marlin developers ever registered under normal conditions.
Away from the building, that percentage began to drop. At a hotel 3/10s of a mile away, percentages hovered around 1% to 4% with occasional spikes as high as 9% over a roughly two-hour period.
In SAN’s extensive use of #Marlin over the past four months, the only other time an IMSI-exposure ratio was detected was outside an #ICE facility in Washington state.

Does everybody have a working #marlin 2.x Configuration for their #prusa i3 mk2S?
I am finally migrating my printer to an up-to-date firmware and it has been a struggle so far.
Pinda probe doesn't seem to work above the pads in the heatbed, the configuration of Z_SAFE_HOME bites me and at worst the STEPS_PER_UNIT are apparently not the default.
When I move it to (25,0) the nozzle ends up at about (20,0)
I will keep tinkering, but a working config for that printer would be great
