Saw this beauty parked next door to OWL bakery this morning at opening time. It was gorgeous, right down to the tires.

A light grey old-style car, a Ford Model A is parked next to a wooden fence, in front of a huge yard of stacked water jugs. It has a black convertible top, running boards and white-wall tires. I overheard the owner say he was on his way to a car show. Why wouldn't he be?

Reflection of the Past

Years ago I had joined a photography club in town. One of our field trips was a trip out to the local airport to visit the hangers of WWII flying ace Duncan Miller.
In this image I have his Model A with a reflection of his C47 in the window. It seemed only proper that I convert the old war plane to a black and white.

Reflection On The Past

This is an image of an old Model owned at the time by WWII flying ace Duncan Miller.
The front grill sits in the left corner of the image. The frame of the radiator is chrome as is the circular headlight frame. The model A is painted a brilliant yellow with chrome highlights in many places. The side of the front fender has gill like vents.
Reflected in the window of this convertible is Duncan Millers C47 that he flew in World War Two. I took liberties and did some selective coloring in the window frame.

Hey, here's a photo from one of my night photography safaris! This is a vintage Ford Model A that I stumbled upon on my travels. I used a handheld light to illuminate the car and capture its mysterious aura during this long exposure photo. I used some warm white light, but the darkness and strange red light on the headlights and windshield lend an extra touch of intrigue and mystery. I hope you like it. There was a High Wind Advisory this particular evening. While I went to talk to someone for a minute, a gust of wind over 45 mph blew over my Nikon D750. It's not really night photography unless you have some of these mishaps, I suppose. I chose to photograph indoors for a while with my other camera.

I captured this on a visit to the hangers of WWII flying ace Duncan Miller. Duncan, the self proclaimed mayor of the Nut Tree Airport has several hangers out there.

Reflection On The Past

This is an image of a Ford Model A captured inside a hangar at Nut Tree Airport in Vacaville.
The paint is a deep yellow that shines flawlessly. There are many chrome accents on the car including the radiator cap, trim around the headlamp and other places.
The window is framed in black painted steel and a windshield wiper hangs down from the frame above.
I converted the portion of the image inside the window frame to black and white.
The reflection in the window is an old, restored C47. Two of the engines with their propellers can be seen in the window along with the front of the fuselage.

I used to really want this to be a reality, now I can only imagine it's going to be a horror because that's what most people are:
