YouTube just changed something in their service at the server side and thus catapulted most of the alternative applications and interfaces into the space. #NewPipe doesn't work, as well as the #yt-dl , #SmartTube and many others like fedi based UI's to.
So if you used some of them don't be surprised. Just check the homepage of the particular app for more infos and wait for the devs of it to get this issue fixed.

Another day, another AI-based email filtering problem.
Today, I'm not allowed to share my professional findings with colleagues out of state. They've appeared in my internal inbox as "sent," but neither of my safety emails (gmail and UCLA) have received the message. And it's not like they're in spam, it's just like I never did the work. Poof, it's gone.

Back in antediluvian telco networking days, a transcontinental dedicated telephone line would involve the regional Bell carrier, AT&T long lines, and whatever other regional carrier was active at the other end.
And when installing or during link outages, the inevitable finger-pointing would ensue.
Had an install delay and the New York Telephone telco claimed to be having trouble locating the AT&T Long Lines facility. AT&T tried not to sprain an eyebrow in the con-call and told NYT (or was it NYNEX by then?) to follow any of their over-a-million-lines leading into the AT&T NYC facility.
All this for maybe 1200 or 2400 baud point-to-point data links, too. Or for serial muxes. (Shudder.) Muxes were devices designed to pass several different serial links over one line, and too often getting stuck locking up all of the multiplexed lines.
Network links have gotten immensely faster, and immensely more flexible, and muxes far less common with IP. Residential uplinks are now routinely massively faster than the early 10 MbE data center links, too.
Those 10 MbE links having replaced DMF32 or DMR or other point-to-point data links between individual computers in the data center. The hassles with drilling ThickWire vampire taps aside, the reduction from 10 MbE links in both wiring needed and routing difficulties was impressive.

PS: sending DECnet async network links over some point-to-point serial lines would lock up connections when an ASCII XOFF character happened to get transmitted in the data. Fun times. Remember to turn off in-band flow-control signaling before lighting up async DDCMP. (Same for SLIP. DDCMP worked far better than SLIP, too.)

Oh, found one app which (possibly) does not work with the Sonoma betas — Defult Folder X.
The current version of Default Folder X does not work with Sonoma. It might be that this is simply a permissions issue and once you grant the necessary permissions (I believe Accessibility and Full Disk Access) it works correctly, but it used to work fine in Ventura but would not work on Sonoma.
However, there’s a new beta for Default Folder X which does work correctly with Sonoma. If interested, you can get it here:
