It still seems unreal to me that humans will soon be flying back to the moon! They will be returning to Earth at a speed of 40.000 km/h, the fastest ever reentry of a crewed spacecraft.
To get an idea what such a reentry looks like, I made this remastered version of the Artemis 1 reentry from 2022 with trajectory data overlayed.

If the entry #angle is too steep, deceleration forces (braking effect due to #atmospheric friction) will become too large and the spacecraft can break up 💥.
