Yesterday the river was moving more slowly as the water was turning to slush and ice but I didn't have my camera with me. Today it's much more peaceful and watery.

“River Walk” — Pedestrians on the Chicago River Walk on a cold November morning.

This scene caught my attention as we crossed the bridge on Michigan Ave, heading toward Chicago’s “Magnificent Mile.” Here the river bends slightly before heading deeper into downtown Chicago near “The Loop.” Nearby tall buildings reflected the morning sun into the scenery from different directions. Sisowath Quay riverside walk along Tonle River stretches past Royal Palace to Koh Pich.

There is always a cooling breeze making daytime city exploring bearable. The trees provides some shadow.

This riverside is an essential part of visiting Phnom Penh, capital of the Kingdom of Cambodia. The pearl of Asia are defined by the rivers around and cutting through it.
