Happy to report that I saw two large bees chowing down in the self-seeded cherry trees this lunchtime. The older tree has started blossoming too. #SelfSeeding #Trees #CherryBlossom #Bees

Pink purple #DamesRockets are blooming, all around our gardens. Often mistaken with phlox. Phlox has 5 flower petals. Dames rockets have 4. It's an established invasive on Vancouver Island. I leave it as it's not choking out other plants & pollinators love them. I remove many other invasives.

The marigold at the bottom of this photo self-seeded from a free seed packet I planted in the outdoor pots last spring (2022). The orange-red flower seems to be exactly what the flowers appeared like last year. The pink wax begonia is a plant I have been overwintering for a couple of years now. The ageratum and the coleus were plants I purchased this spring to fill out the pots.
#GardenRocket #arugula plants - #flowers are turning into seed. It will keep self sowing & provide us with more arugula to eat. I grow a few different types of arugula - we like their taste.

@Potteriesgardener @DirtyGardenHoe I ❤️ #calendula. Every year the flowers are different. #SelfSeeding the stripey colors are especially interesting. I use them for salve. What is your technique? Heat or sun?
