#LinguisticCleansing of #Hindi, #Urdu, & #Tamil was nefarious politics.
I fully agree with Alok Rai (author of Hindi Nationalism, cited by author in linked article) that these sectarian ploys brand the ENTIRE Hindi-speaking population as "language chauvinist."
Blame goes to ideologies such as #BJP #Hindutva as much as it does to #DMK #AntiHindi in politicizing Hindi

Annoying #Standardized Computerized #Tests in schools are pointless. They don’t help kids. They don’t give an honest look at what kids know and can do. They just make $ for #test companies & talking points for politicians, at the expense of actual #learning time for #students, & they are made by people who don’t actually work with the children.
@Janina@mstdn.social @dani This is a "yes but" the only #standardized are #matrix and #xmpp. It is possible to use these disconnected from any metadata tracking company. It is not possible with the other privative and not-standardized systems.
The One Size Surprise
If we sit beside one another in the classroom
