Been a long week so let’s have a good #FossilFriday. Today some shots from my trip to the Smithsonian Natural History Museum. The dinosaur wing is amazing and generally a great museum I wish I could have spent more time at.

This is actually the third time I've drawn #dimetrodon. First time was as a bonus to my Humans and our Cousins project ( https://sauropods.win/@Vickysaurus/109596904981495602 ) It was one of the first times I ever drew #paleoart, and I wish I hadn't made it so scaly. The second time was a silly image that popped into my head when I read of an old hypothesis that sail-backed #synapsids used their sails to surf across the water. 'Surfin' synapsids' fits the rhythm of 'Surfin' USA' perfectly. It's joined by Edaphosaurus
