I thought I'd killed my trusty #turrisomnia but it turned out my tinkering had left it and the recovery partition in a very old broken state. Fortunately after failing with a cheapo usb key I did get a more recent factory image on it. I now realise quite how fast back the system was because everything is dark mode by default now with a nice onboarding process.

@geerlingguy ooh, I'm loving this! I'm wondering how flexible this could be to turn it into a #mesh router. Could the GPS M.2 slot also be used for another WiFi card?
There have been projects like the #OpenWrtOne, #LibreRouter or #TurrisOmnia, nice platforms for 2.4+5GHz mesh routers. But they are either non-upgradeable, outdated, short in supplies and/or expensive.
I really like that you can easily upgrade the Compute Module or M.2 cards separately with the #Switchberry.

Weekend's over and I managed to replace my dead #Mikrotik router for a #TurrisOmnia.
Great job, #Turris and #OpenWRT, this was the best experience I had with setting up a router to date! I managed to set up everything, including NAT quite easily and I even understand what I did.

@gerowen what a coincidence, I've just started messing around with Wireguard on my #openwrt #turrisomnia router and I am still kinda lost. I have my key pair generated along with a QR code. Do I need to manually add all clients as peers on my server? What's the best strategy to select addresses for clients?
I guess I have some reading to do.
