ich habe mir #wezterm nun angeschaut.
es gefällt mir. es löst (mir) aber nur probleme die ich bereits geräteübergreifend per #tmux gelöst habe. kommt in die #empfehlungsliste.

Unexpected Keyboard taking up a massive one point one megabytes. Greedy, so greedy.

$GBoard from Google taking up a miniscule one hundred and seventy five megabytes. How does Google manage to get things to work with such tiny memory usage?!? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯$

The #UnexpectedKeyboard https://f-droid.org/packages/juloo.keyboard2/ looks like an interesting alternative to the #HackersKeyboard https://f-droid.org/en/packages/org.pocketworkstation.pckeyboard/ .

Unfortunately, it doesn't quite work for me. The QWERTY (US) layout doesn't have an ALT key like it does on the screenshot, which makes it pretty much useless for #Emacs 😢

I tried a custom layout, but the ALT modifier still doesn't show up. Maybe it's a #GrapheneOS quirk, but I doubt it. There is an ALT on the number layout

#kdeconnect is a lifesaver.

My A key popped off my laptop keyboard, so while I'm waiting for the replacement part, I'm using my external keyboard. Today, I forgot to bring the USB dongle for the keyboard.

Not only can I remotely control my mouse but I can also use my android keyboard (#unexpectedkeyboard), making my life and studies so much easier.

@kebab_savoureux Je suis en #bepo sur le tel, mais depuis peu. J'utilise #unexpectedkeyboard qui est génial (sauf un truc, il n'a pas encore la prédiction) avec le layout bépo. Par contre je n'y gagne pas grand chose par rapport à un azerty.

@GratianRiter hab mal gelesen, dass das keyboard bei android eines der ersten Dinge sein sollte, das man wechselt. Man weiß ja nie, was alles zu google, microsoft etc. übertragen wird.
Ich nutze derzeit #Openboard und bin sehr zufrieden.
Ganz anderes macht es #unexpectedKeyboard.
Beide opensource und beide im f-droid store.

Been using #unexpectedkeyboard as a privacy resecting open source replacement for the stock keyboard on #GrapheneOS and so far, it's been awesome as a daily driver...especially for using #Termux :terminal:

"The main features are easy typing of every ASCII character using the swipe gesture, dead keys for accents and modifier keys and the presence of special keys (tab, esc, arrows, etc..)."

Mir gefiel die nun schmaleren Tasten dieser genialen Tastatur nicht, ist ist auch weniger kompakt bzw. optimiert.

Downgrade ist aber nicht erforderlich, zumal dann alle zukünftigen Anpassungen entfallen und man bei jedem Update daran denken muss.

Lösung: In den Einstellungen bei "Tastaturlayout ändern" statt "Systemeinstellung" oder "QWERTZ(Deutsch)" auf "QWERTZ" stellen und die Tastatur sieht wieder wie gewohnt aus.

@BazookachinKevin if you'd like to have something unexpected with a multitude of possibilities I'd suggest #unexpectedkeyboard, you can get it from #fdroid

I fell in 💖 with #unexpectedKeyboard!

It takes a bit to get used to but it's the best #android #keyboard for me. I didn't know what I've missed until now!

@captainepoch i hope you still will take my annoying bug reports in here.

i can't remember why i came back to husky, but i really feel it have just 1 major issue, and found 2 related bugs today:

i want more data integrity and no repeating myself.

so, hitting the back key when writing a draft, for instance, will make me lose the draft.

perhaps you consider this a feature, but i see it as a huge ux bug. the x button should ask "delete draft?" because i want the draft saved by default! at each keystroke, ideally. and crucially flawlessly.

granted, my keyboard should also save all my keystrokes across forms, but that will be a much bigger ux bug beast for me to report! 🤣 #unexpectedkeyboard #fuckingboard

the second bug: 4 image limitation message. i can add at least 8 easily when done 1 by 1. anything more gets annoyingly buggy, and that message pops out in all unrelated times, making me lose my file selection and having to select again.

much smaller bug when compared to the first one, but still much related and disturbing. you also are probably aware of most of it already. 🥰
