Once, Windows search was freaking useless. Then, around W7 IIRC, it got better, you could search for a file and find it without much trouble. Now it has, for some inexplicable reason (well, probably $$), become useless again.

If you, like me, actually want to be able to search your Windows PC/laptop file system fast & efficiently, you might want to install Everything - it is nothing short of amazing in comparison with Windows 10/11 built in search.
