Here, an older layer of rock (approx. 260 to 300 million years old) has been thrust over a significantly younger layer (approx. 35 to 50 million years old). The Glarus Overthrust is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site “Tectonic Arena Sardona.” This photo has an arena vibe for me. It is dominated by sky with a few clouds, and the Tschingelhörner peaks are framed by mountain ridges on the left and right. In the foreground, you can also see a bit of alpine meadow.
