Watching "The Gilded Age" drama series. I don't want to know whether Marian is being set up by this guy Raikes (with that name). He seems too perfect. Even in unguarded moments, the guy never breaks a sweat. Very suspicious!

Here's a #galaxy from #ESAEuclid's #galaxyzoo classification project. We can't tell you how far away it is and are not going to give a description, to not bias people's classification results: https://galaxyzoo.org
However: this galaxy could contain as many stars and planets as our #MilkyWay. #Euclid will take pictures of more than 2 billion galaxies, although many further away and hence with fewer details.
Mind blown?

Ein Faulbaumbläuling zeigte sich letzten Samstag in der Heide. Es gibt so einige Arten die wohl durch Wetter und Parasiten dieses Jahr etwas seltener sind als die Vorjahre.

Was poking around on the Mayrent Collection for some #accordion inspiration since I've been playing around with one again. Lot of stuff I've never heard, but wow, this one from from A. Greenberg of New York in 1906 must be one of the oldest klezmer recordings ever made, although was cylinders were being made at the turn of the century so I can't say if it's the oldest. Cool stuff. "Occordion" heh.

/6.. Here are a few other, perhaps lesser known psychedelic rock bands from the SF Bay Area in the late 60s. They were all so cool in their time 😎 and, i think, interesting to consider today:
Quicksilver Messenger Service

/5.. What else of SF Bay Area origin, was exciting folk/rock fans in the USA during the late 60s or early 70s?
On seeking to place the early Grateful Dead within their contemporary local musical context, a mandadory starting point is the psychedelic rock movement of the 60s. The Dead were not so much "of" this movement as they were allies.

Southern emerald moth. Always a treat to find one of these. They’re fairly small but lovely moths.
