No more Gmail, no more Google services. I wasn’t exactly a superfan to begin with, but even so, I was still surprised to see just how much of my data had accumulated there over the years.
It's a clean break, a small act of rebellion, if you will. And it feels good.

Replacing an american product made in Europe by a European product made in Europe means jobs in Europe in both cases, but no more profit for the american companies.
But I would recommend to focus on companies that funded Trump’s campaign.
For instance, sometimes I read people saying they stoped Netflix. But Netflix funded Kamala Harris’ campaign, not Trump.
I just read Microsoft's post on how much they love Europe & that they are not the same as Donald Trump. As far as I can tell there is nothing new in there, no new/useful protections, no guarantees. It rehashes already debunked things like the "Microsoft Lock Box". Detrumpez-vous: a new mobile app developed by a French computer engineer to scan food products to check if the brand is owned by an American company or if it belongs to an American group.
How does it work?
Barcode Scanning: User scans the product's barcode to retrieve its unique number.
API Requests: The application queries external APIs to get product details, including name and brand.
Blacklist Check: The retrieved brand name is compared against a blacklist.

'Albert Heijn Apartheidvrij' was yesterday protesting in front of the Ahold Delhaize headquarters (a Dutch supermarket) to call them to stop selling products from Israel. Yesterday the people of #turkiye have boycotted all shops for one day and urged people to close their shops in support for the protests. There also is a call to #boycott businesses that support the government. This is done in protest against the arrest of Istanbul mayor Ekrem Imamoglu, who is president Erdogan his main political rival.
The government of #turkey is clearly fearing the effects of it, since they have tried to counter the boycott.

Must say there is something beautiful and healing about seeing a bunch of strangers in a #repairCafe helping each other fix their rice cookers, format their laptops, sew their teddy bears, patch up their clothes, figure out ways to solve problems with what they've got right there and each other.
Highly recommended activity to restore faith in ordinary people when we see so much cruelty from the top.
I went to a #repairCafe today and got my ebike charger fixed for at least another 4 years of daily usage (I hope). 🚲 ⚡
Repairing things is good for the earth, for our pockets and for society in general.
The NZ Parliament is looking at a bill about this. 🔧
