I've written up how I extracted some firmware from the RF controller and where I am currently at. It's interesting and I feel as though I am pushing my own limits. Learning and discovery is always rewarding π
I love embedded systems, FPGAs, ASIC, power electronics, reverse engineering, hardware hacking, embedded security topics. C, Verilog and Python.
Kindness and Generosity are underrated in societies.

I love this community. Seriously, we have so many giving up their time to create knowledge and information for free, for everyone to learn and grow.
SiliWiz helps you get a basic understanding of how semiconductors work & are manufactured at a fundamental level.

There's also a bloody good document available at: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1H3jA7guvXT7toEvUObOQ1viQ6Qz_QSGDiJ5OBS2pDEI/edit?usp=sharing
There's no excuse anymore, we are in a golden age of accessibility and free information to change and grow.
Kudos to @matthewvenn
In FPGA development, resets are crucial for synchronized systems but using them correctly can be a challenge.
Join us in an interview with our FPGA engineer Carl, and get the inside scoop on what role resets play in FPGA design and why they require careful handling: https://youtu.be/8vvS05V1YL0

In episode ( https://embedded.fm/episodes/404 )Reinhard Keil talked to us about CMSIS among other things. Here's an excerpt:
CW (00:18:35):
You've mentioned CMSIS a couple of times and I think it's really, really cool, but I don't think we've described what it is. Could you describe what CMSIS is briefly?
...
Just a reminder of a few great tools for firmware unpacking, repacking and
analysis

We're off this week. However, there are a plethora of shows you can listen to in the meantime.
Here's an informative one( https://embedded.fm/episodes/404 ) from the past if you're looking for suggestions.
Reinhard Keil joined Chris (@Stoneymonster) and Elecia(@logicalelegance) to talk about creating the Keil compiler, the 8051 processor, Armβs CMSIS, and the new cloud-based Keil Studio IDE.
Useful blog post by @bytehow if you are approaching ghidra for the first time

Today, I used a logic analyzer to look at a signal I found on my Smart TV remote control.
@pipelinec Interesting, but looks ... I dunno. Simultaneously too high level and too low level. This is usually the type of diagram I like to make in Visio. It contains things as a HDL designer I care about deeply, clock domain handling, number scaling, rapid access and mention of control registers, etc.
SOFA (Skywater Opensource FPGAs) are open-source FPGA IPs using the open-source Skywater 130nm PDK and OpenFPGA, an open-source FPGA IP generator for highly-customizable FPGA architectures.
Just a bit more than 1 day left before the end of the giveaway π

I've officially broken up with Twitter. At least, as much as I can given my profession.

Thank you John, for the #Hacker #Walkthrough on #TryHackMe
Day 19, #AdventOfCyber2022 #HardwareHacking challenge.
Your presentation was the best I've seen! You & THM made a sometimes challenging subject so easy to understand - #Quality #Learning !
I will be keeping an eye out for more of your presentations.
Your delivery was crystal clear!
Good that I was able to find you out here as I am a recent migrant from birdsite
Cheers π΄ββ οΈβ

TIL that #Ghidra has some training under GhidraDocs/GhidraClass and someone has helpfully served them available online for me - https://static.grumpycoder.net/pixel/docs/GhidraClass/Beginner/Introduction_to_Ghidra_Student_Guide_withNotes.html#Introduction_to_Ghidra_Student_Guide.html
@shawnhymel Hi Shawn, how are you doing? Nice to meet you again hereπ
