About 3 years ago Wise bank started offering local bank accounts in my country. The next day I initiated the closure of my "traditional" bank accounts and since then I only have a Wise account. As you rightly pointed out I try to create a complete stack that ticks the boxes for an average user, instead of giving options. We need to somehow reach the people outside the :mastodon: bubble, otherwise the impact will be very limited - at least that's what I think
@ueeu thanks for directing some attention to my project. Brief background: I thought it may help others if I document the path that I took to replace my US based digital services. My target audience is not people who can do their own due diligence on which email provider is more European than the other. I want to give a guide for the average internet users, and I'm proposing the services that I switched to and that I am happy with.

They are the very last reason I check YouTube from time to time. If they would create own instances for subscribers only, that would be perfectly fine with me too. I don't expect them to work for free. But I would like to watch them without touching YouTube.
