These, to me, are the archetypal tulips, the kind we had growing in my yard when I was a kid.

Looking straight into a cluster of five bright red tulips. They are large open cups, and at the bottom inside they are glossy and almost black, with a bright yellow three sided pistil in the center.

The same tulips, seen a bit more from the side, so we see the black center of only one, and the rest are just bright red with glimpses of yellow.

It looks like snow.
Through it is growing new vegetation of different sorts.

A field of Bristly Haircap moss (Polytrichum piliferum) with its numerous fresh sporophytes.
In the center grows a Ladder lichen (Cladonia verticillata) with cups growing upright in the center of the cups in several tiers, like trumpets growing on trumpets.
In the background a red and grey-blue granite rock.

Hike this morning, with a fair bit of bushwhacking following new streams and interesting colors. Efts were everywhere.

Violet toothed polypore. A striped light tan mushroom on side of old tree trunk that turns to violet on the edges and then a lighter, almost white outline.

Newly emerged button mushrooms out of side of rotting log. Maybe an alder scalycap?

Cerrena? A very interesting texture and coloring with a little green “forest” of fuzz on top of the fungus while underneath is a frilly/textured white.

Bright yellow almost see-thru golden jelly fungus on a downed branch next to clumps of moss and maybe a bit of lichen.

Does anyone know of an online library of open license, interposed, print-ready books?

I've been bookbinding copies of copyleft books you can only get as PDFs, and helping some authors and a game dev group I know make their books available as binding-ready files.

Is there already a site for them somewhere? If not, it's something I'll try to do, eventually

I know prepping the files is part of the fun but if it lowers the barrier for entry for bookbinding I think it's worth it
