@orionkidder Best of luck!
But more importantly, have a blast!
Mentzelia decapetala, Ten-petal Blazingstar, seeds sprouted April 2025. I planted these seeds in early April, without stratification. In these six pots, nine seeds sprouted. In two other identical pots, a total of five seeds sprouted. I separated all five and set them in the ground where the biggest Mentzelia of 2024 was. It did not survive the winter. The photo of 3 blooms is from 2024.
This is a fascinating plant. It's hairy leaves, stems and sepals are deathtraps for flies and similar size insects. Yet tiny aphids feed on the plant amid a forest of barbed hairs. The immense brilliant white blooms open shortly before sunset and close before dawn. Read the Wild With Nature article for way more information.

Could your community benefit from what Green Heart Louisville has accomplished? They ran the first scientific study that proves adding trees to an urban environment, measurably improves the health of residents.

Nature Conservancy: The Green Heart Louisville Project is the first longitudinal clinical trial to test urban greening in the same way a new pharmaceutical intervention would be tested. 5 years after tree planting started (and stopped for the pandemic), results show a 13-20% drop in C-reactive protein for monitored participants in the planting area. That means the same reduction in chronic inflammation, which causes numerous physical illnesses.
#RFK Junior requires HHS to add placebo testing to new vaccines. Placebo-controlled clinical trials have been part of vaccine testing since the 1940s. Adding more will only delay vaccine approval.

Plasma cannons are no longer SciFi...
A real Lorentz Plasma Cannon exists, and the narrator has been working toward this goal for sixty+ years.

This '42' situation is very similar to what The Beatles endured with "turn me on dead man", the words supposedly audible by playing a certain song backwards.
I seriously doubt The Beatles planned that. However, David Lynch did make actors move and speak backwards for scenes in the Red Room. That's why the scenes looked and sounded so surreal.

Crowd-sourcing false explanations for almost any creative work, generally has a 100% success rate!
Just finished this 5-metre-long drystone seating area on the banks of a loch.
It stands about 1.5m tall and will hold a single piece of oak across the three protruding stones to form a bench.
The idea was to create something rooted in the land, not just placed on it. Sheltered, steady, and quietly purposeful. A place to pause and reflect.
Built by hand, no mortar, just time, attention, and stone. All materials sourced locally.

LOL "Thinness" isn't futuristic. It's ego. Apple's been obsessed with ever thinner devices. Futuristic would be useful features, not thinner things.
but that's just me

@jwilker Actually John, you aren't alone. I support 'right-to-repair' laws and the movement driving them. Engineers still know how to design products to last, even electronic tech, but the mega-company-monopolies make more money from designed obsolescence.
Edit: Please read other people's comments as new comments are repeating the same information. Thank you
#WordWeavers 20. If someone gave you a million dollars (or equivalent) to never write again, would you take it?
I'd stop, gaze upward for a bit, then go make five million selling fraudulent vaporware products to criminals on Dark Web marketplaces by accepting payment only in untraceable Monera digital currency. And the vast majority of my time would still be spent writing, which is where all the fun is, anyway.
Please support Internet Archive. The recording industry is trying to kill them.

1) Boil the water
2) Filter it
