I have been tinkering with from-the-disc 4K media files lately, trying different media players, HDR to SDR tonemapping algorithms, and whatnot to make decent screenshots. So, here's a bunch of Austin Butler's Feyd-Rautha from Dune: Part Two. The winner is MPC-HC with the madVR DirectShow video renderer.

I built the Lord of the Rings Rivendell Lego set this holiday break and envisioned this exact photoshoot during the construction of the very first bag of bricks.

I was today years old when I learned that "slide" in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker was in fact not "slide", it's "sidle". 😳

Cappuccino № 50

Pencil tip. ✏️
