Some blooms from there garden!

The two sunflowers are two of three, the other one hasn't flowered and may not. I love the difference in colour and brightness of them. One a burnt orange and the other a very bright yellow.

A rudbeckia that's doing really well, these were a gift that has done well and seems to be going from strength to strength.

The sunflower beneath is a bright yellow, almost a beacon compared to the other.

It was finally cool enough to hike again this morning, and we found this little oddity hiding in the goldenrod. Looking like the product of a mad scientist who was assembling centaurs but ran out of human and horse parts and decided to substitute mantis and wasp bits, this is a brown wasp mantidfly (𝘊𝘭𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘤𝘪𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘢 𝘣𝘳𝘶𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘢):
