What actually works is having a clear method you can rely on even when you do not feel creative. A way to move forward that does not depend on mood or inspiration.
That is why I put my writing process into a practical guide.
I did not create it as theory. I created it because I kept meeting people who wanted to write a book and had no structure. They had ideas scattered across notebooks and notes apps. They had strong emotions and no clear direction. They started chapters and never finished them.

At Finland at the moment, visiting 4 telescope sites in 4 days and 2 artist coffees. When I travel to telescope sites, I always try to meet up with a local artist who are working on art/science projects because A. I love (and collect) art and B. Their insights in the culture, history really help me with writing, and sharing ideas over coffee is invaluable. Yesterday I met up with Elle Rose Nish in Helsinki - she works on art-sci ptojects around clouds and graduating this December with a research master. On this picture, she's collecting yarrow to make tea, a magical herb :) .

I've spent the better past of the past few days working on rebuilding The "Creston's UK City Pack" to work a lot better, and be easier to upgrade in the long run, Along with looking into how I would change and make my Fediverse book well trying to work out what should and shouldn't go into the book to make sure it's cost effective well also giving those who know nothing about the Fediverse knowledge on the topic well also giving the users that do use it helpful information to.
