Just migrated my Cloud-Server at Netcup from CentOS-Stream 9 :centos: to Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 10 :redhat:
Since all my workloads were containerized with Podman :podman: that was very simple to do:
- Deploying new server in parallel
- Stopping all containers
- Moving the volumes and the systemd/quadlet files over to the new machine (/etc/containers/systemd)
- Starting all containers on the new host
- Updating DNS entries to new IP addresses
- Decomissioning the old machine

Własny serwer Red Hat cz.8 - Statystyki serwera.
The install of @centos Stream went great. I had a few issues with configuration but that had zero to do with CentOS and everything to do with my lack of understanding of a few things. All issues have been resolved and CentOS is running on my small home server. This is all pretty exciting, if I'm being honest.

I know that @centos Stream tracks just ahead of RHEL. Is anyone running this on their server? I'm thinking about moving away from Debian on the server and wondering if @almalinux would be a better choice or, maybe, take advantage of the RH Developer Program and install RHEL? I've not worked with servers in a while (many years) so this will be a good learning experience.
@9to5linux @almalinux Is this like #CentOS now days?a
EPEL 10 launched a little over five months ago. Today, RHEL 10 was released. In that time EPEL 10 has grown to 17,756 packages (from 5,451 source packages) built by 249 different Fedora packagers. 📦🎉🤩
Red Hat released RHEL 10 today during Red Hat Summit to the surprise of absolutely nobody. Some interesting stuff in this release. I took a look at CentOS Stream 10 in December, which provided a sneak peek into most of the changes coming to RHEL 10. #Linux #OpenSource #RHEL #RedHat #CentOS
Having a blast so far at #RedHatSummit ! I gave a talk on Community Day yesterday - The Year of the Enterprise Linux Desktop - that will likely return in a slightly revised and updated form in July at the next #CentOS #CentOSShowcase (thanks for the interest all the useful questions, audience!) and am co-presenting two more talks today, on CentOS at Meta (with Davide Cavalca) and the new #CentOS_ProposedUpdates SIG (with @neal ). See you there!

Myth busted! Carl George presented "CentOS Mythbusters" at LinuxFest Northwest last month.
@stefano This was also #xfs. I am aware that when it has problems, it *really* has problems lol. But, I've also used XFS on #rhel and #centos 6 and 7 and #Debian without any issues. You are probably correct that it was #suse.
When I ran Tumbleweed and Leap 15 on an older laptop, I purposely went with ext4 and it was unquestionably a smoother experience.
Just curious, which version of openSUSE did you use?
