Lately, as much as I attempt to be, I am incredibly uninspired creative-wise. I force myself to work on music every day and though I have accomplished things, I find my mind drifting even a half an hour into the "work". It's a bit disenchanting, I admit.

I hope I can pull myself out of it soon. Has anyone else gone through this of late? Did you find a solution or did you just have to wait it out?

Just had a thought… y’know how famous artists always had “muses”? And there’s fairly broad agreement that a most artists are some flavor of neurodivergent?

What if art muses aren’t magically inspirational, but rather body-doubling the artist, so they could get past their own executive dysfunction (aka, creative blocks)?

Blogging Hiatus

I’m taking a break from web logging. I’m just not motivated right now. I'm also not making any new photos. I still have a few hundred unedited photos in Adobe Lightroom and a few more on the SD card in the Fuji.

The creative thing has an ebb and flow.

Draw by hand away from screens, call a friend, post the process and ask for feedback, take a walk, revisit the reason you're making whatever you're making, set a 2-minute timer and draw as many new ideas as you can, break it into bite-sized chunks, give up, dance, think about how the same problem would be solved in a different medium.
