I wasn’t happy with this piece…so I’m in the middle of painting over it today, changing it to profile. Still a way to go. Need to fill in, and darken the hair on the face…but overall it feels more real and less cartoon to me.
It looks a bit like my grandmother when young.

The said painting was brushed off and liquified with rubbing alcohol. Messy and dripping.

Mistakes: not paying attention, not assuming, failing to file or back up, saying you're sorry or telling someone you love them, giving the compliment. Sometimes it is a lost opportunity. Sometimes it is a life lesson. The price of knowledge just might be that mistake.

Today is National Mulligan Day, a "holiday" that gives everyone permission to take a mulligan or a #DoOver in their life. The term mulligan comes from golf and is thought to have originated in the 1930s with Canadian golfer David Mulligan.
I'm golfing with my brother today, the same brother I left on a street with his hockey bag when I forgot to pick him up for our weekly pick up game 30 years ago. I wish I could do that over.
