All the #hysterics over #ballot #dropBoxes are absurd and unwarranted. Abundant empirical evidence proves they are a #safe and #efficient way for #Americans to #vote. If some no-gooder jams a fistful of #fraudulent #ballots into the box, it doesn't mean they will be counted and applied to the official tally. The ballots are still inspected and verified prior to #tabulation. The ballot box is just another way for #voters to transmit their ballot to the #election clerk.
Despite a judge adding one Saturday to #EarlyVoting for the #Georgia Senate #Runoff, that’s still only 7 days, and in some counties only 5 days. Not mentioned in the press: the new law, #SB202, shutters all ballot #dropboxes except on Early Voting days, during Early Voting hours. Dropbox votes fall 2:1 for Democrats. So, cutting Early Voting all but eliminates the dropbox ballots that won the runoff for Warnock in 2021.
