I decided to install Firefly III on my self hosted machine to play with it. Due to how the module was created in NixOS repo, it defaults to nginx and I was not able to make it work correctly with caddy, but ok, still can access it via IP for now just while I evaluate.
I am already organized with my money, but I wanna level up to be able to create forecasts and have more control.

Wenigstens habe ich die Container in Docker wieder einmal ausgemistet, welche ich nicht mehr brauch.
Zum Glück war ich so gescheit ein Backup zu machen nicht so wie beim letzten mal 👀.

Yeah ok I might be slightly going crazy here but today I managed to get #yunohost running on #oraclecloud - The same day I have #Nextcloud #friendica and #fireflyIII running. I'm sending and recieving emails from my own #mailserver and linking my #mqtt server to an instance of #HomeAssistant ..
I had so much fun getting #funkwhale running that I decided to spin up an instance of #fireflyiii to try to get a handle on where the hell my money all goes.
I used to use Mint, but then Intuit shut it down and forced me onto CreditKarma. CreditKarma is absolute flaming garbage. So, I'm hoping this works out.

Co je nutno: webhosting s PHP a možností nastavit alias do určité složky. To nabízí například Active24 hosting.

Je commence à tester #kmymoney mais c'est beaucoup trop avancé.
Je voudrais juste importer des données, que ça les tri tout seul et détecte les récurrents pour avoir un visuel de ce que je vais avoir le prochain mois comme dépense.
Je sais pas pourquoi mais un #fireflyiii ou #kresus sur #yunohost ça me semble un peu dangereux (autant que Nextlcoud vous allez me dire)

Crazy. My bank actually has an #api to get account data, which would have been cool to use in combination with something like #fireflyiii , but turns out in order to use it, you gotta register with authorities. So the only way to actually get a hold on your data is by using 3rd party services "for security".. Ah yes... Very much so

neben den spenden bei der gls, hab ich jetzt auch für das private konto bei der dkb nen auto-import nach #fireflyiii – hab mich erst geärgert das eg mittels https://github.com/bnw/firefly-iii-fints-importer kartenzahlungen nicht "schön" erfasst werden, aber jetzt hab ich mir für die typischen läden mal die mühe gemacht regeln basierend auf zielkonten und notizen zu erstellen und zack, alles wieder hübsch. toll wenn dinge mal (wirklich) funktionieren 🤙
Ohmy, firefly is a nice piece of software for a personal finance manager - but also a large timesink to keep it updated.
Sure, the importer and rulesets help a lot, but still, the rules want to be created, sometimes adjusted, checked over, ....
