Back on social media again (touching grass was nice) ... I usually do prepress on macOS, but when I'm on Linux I end up using #Inkscape (Scribus UX is not the best).

So I decided to make a simple GUI over Ghostscript 👻 . It will create prepress-ready PDF/X from any PDF. Note! If you want total control over CMYK/spot colors use Scribus, but if your demands are simple (RGB=>CMYK) it might work for you...

When you've had enough of automating every little thing and just want to get stuff done and end up manually generating a bunch of (very slow to generate) PDF plots, then concatenate all of them with #ghostScript, then extract the text with #pdf2txt, use a regex in Python to find some numbers and dates in the plot's legend, to finally write them into a csv file.

#Ghostscript does all of this for free. Just need a couple commands on the #CLI. It takes three minutes to figure out how.

While this may be uttelry complicated for regular users, I find quite basic for a tech savvy.
