This version of the same photo was created from the raw file using rawtherapee free software. The frame with text was made and the image downsized from 8000x5333 using GraphicsMagick free software.
Exiftool free software was used to add standard IPTC and MWG metadata tags.

Also have you tried #imagemagick or #graphicsmagick? There might even be a #KDE Context menu entry to batch convert them.
Gwenview can even display Sony RAW images.
Ich hab ne schöne Sony α6000 Kamera geschenkt bekommen, und hab Lust fotographieren zu lernen.
Die Kamera macht #RAW Bilder und wandelt sie intern auch in gut aussehende #JPG um. Nur ist sie halt über 10 Jahre alt, entsprechend veraltet ist die Software (hab schnell auch alle Wireless-Funktionen ausgemacht ;D).
Möchte mir deswegen mit #dcraw und #GraphicsMagick einen Automatismus bauen, um die Raw Bilder selber schnell in moderne JPG umzuwandeln, die am besten auch kleiner sind als 7MB...
Yesterday I revisited photos I made in 2019. I used newer versions of software. I stitched together 24 photos to make one large image.

Having always used bash 'for loops' with 'gm convert' to create thumbnails, I've just created this tiny script to make my life easier.

I once experimented on a #webapp to make #community transcription of documents easier.
It had a component where the #app would have to make #PDF into a series of images. Back then I was using #graphicsmagick or #imagemagick to parse through the #PDFs which took too much resources made my laptop hang.
Today I found `pdftocairo` part of the `poppler-utils` package in #Arch. It is lean, fast and the apt tool for me to finish that work.

Interactive graphics editing tools get a lot of love. Less well known, the #CommandLine tools for manipulating these documents.
I am #ThursdayThankful for #GraphicsMagick to let me figure out any manipulation I want and then automatically do it to an entire folder full of image files.

I made a small OCR using #Tesseract a year or so ago - https://github.com/demonshreder/tamil-reader/
It was done in an effort to automate #FSHM 's efforts to transcribe tamil books.
The problems with my code is that #graphicsmagick uses too much RAM (5-6 GB) to convert #PDF into image.
I stopped coding on it as much progress was made without it.
