☝️ This was the very first caption of the very first photo I posted on Pixelfed a year ago. It's my #Fediversary today!! 🎂

It was a photo of my three #chickens standing in the snow in front of their coop, suspiciously eyeing the white stuff that had covered the grass.

A year ago, I was so horrified and fed up with the tech bro mentality (I still am, and it's getting worse every day) that I created Pixelfed and Mastodon accounts to try them out. I'm not active much on Mastodon, other than following a few news outlets and FotoVorschlag of course. But Pixelfed, you've won my heart! 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂, you lovely people, for making the past year a joy to be online! 🥹

So, as an official Fediversary post, here's another Henuary moment: Cleo, the runt of the flock, drinking some snow a few days ago. It's currently raining, and the snow has turned into soggy slush, so any chicken photos today won't be pretty.

Sometimes my evil neighbours' chickens near my house would come into the house's garden. If they come in, my mother and I will chase them away with a broom until they come out. We ever put one in a sack and take it to our friend who loved chickens. Well, that is so.

Haha, I just always think about eating duck when I see duck. I remember once being pecked by a duck and a chicken because they thought I was annoying them. My late grandfather once told me that he used to keep chickens but they often died quickly. He just didn't get along with chickens.
