I don't have the money to buy the LED strips for the frosted top-windows at the moment, but I am the kind of person who has 5m of LED strips just lying around awaiting a use.
Which is coincidentally exactly the length the space around the dresser-mirrors/window-shutters need.

(1/2) Heute mal einen #ws2812 #LEDStrip aus dem #esp32 Starter Paket programmiert. Das wäre so ein Use Case, den ich mir auch gut im #smarthome vorstellen könnte - dann aber mit #WLED integration.
Anhand des Basis-Codes und KI ist man selbst als absoluter Beginner schnell am Ziel. In meinem Fall acht Farben in Knight Rider Optik anzuzeigen. Umgesetzt wurde das Ganze in der #arduinoIDE
Ich hab den fertigen Code beigefügt, alles gut nachvollziehbar, wenn man es fertig hat.
I bought one of these PID led strip lights for £4, low and behold the usb c port doesn't have the required resistors. I had to crack it open and add them, well I only had space to add one so it won't work with e marked cables but we can't have everything #usbc #ledstrip

Yesterday I managed to turn #esphome into a #wled knockoff. (Part of my #lamp system.) If anyone else is considering it, let me gently suggest No. It *technically works*, which is the worst kind of works.
Overlapping segments are great (really!) and way more reliable than switching presets, but that is where it stops. Mostly when wled Just Does, esphome+fastled Just Doesn't.
If you were hoping to piggyback additional capabilities, you should also know that 22 LEDs in pairs (plus "all") leaves about 9% free flash. This is not enough for audio, or most sensors. And of course control suffers.
That said, don't forget that every #ledstrip is also a #5v supply and there are no rules against putting multiple magic shards in a single object..
These new addressable RGB strips have been sat on my desk for a while. Finally got around to putting them in the PC. (Also, the strips that were in there were starting to fail, frustratingly...they might be repairable, though, and they can go in another rig.)
