I'm convinced #Microsoft won't "fix" #Windows (by migrating to #Linux and merely integrating a #WindowsSubsystemForLinux (aka. #Wine) instead of their botched #LinuxSubsystemForWindows) because they do get $$$$$$$$ from the #Scareware-#Scam-Industry that is "#Antivirus"-#Software!

But the best are those "#AV" Vendors that use #ClownFlare "for #DDoS-Protection" like some #malware distributors from #Russia.

Personally, I just #ban all #proproetary file.formats & -protocols as a matter of principle!

@kawa actually it slows down (and if your System had fancy 7-segmebt displays for clock speeds, it would show you that as well!)...

So technically it should've been a "#SlowButton" and not a "#TurboButton" but then again #Micorosft calls their #LinuxSubsystemForWindows the other way around (which is wromg because a #WindowsSubsystemForLinux would be #Wine or #Proton...

@jk because technically it's the #LinuxSubsystemForWindows [#LSW or "Lasow"] and not #WindowsSubsystemForLinux [Which is #wine as it provides #Windows - #API's and #ABI's under #Linux.]

#But #Microsoft is known for fucking up things and making #enshittified and worse clones of existing #POSIX & #LSB tools...

@jalefkowit or just use #Linux instead or use #btrfs or #ext4 which #Windows suooorts due to the #LinuxSubsystemForWindows (calling it the other way aroundbis just wrong - period!)

@Ariri OFC it's not sandboxed but a worse reimplementation of #UnixServices for #Windows.

Calling it a "#LinuxSubsystemForWindows" makes more sense since it's basically a #Subsystem to run #Linux as a #Guest on top of a #Windows #Desktop OS.

It literally uses the same #GuestAddition drivers as #HyperV does as it literally requires it.

So yeah "#WSL" aka. "#WindowsSubsystemForLinux" which against the logic isn't #Proton / #DXVK + #Wine is alyo not available on #HomeEdition|s / #Basic Versions of #Winfows10 & #Windows11...

@Linux_Is_Best Only 4 issues:

1. They don't tell devs to just yeet Windows and be done with it.

2. They don't admit "#SecureBoot" to solely exist as #CensorBoot to block #Linux installations.

3. They still call their "#LinuxSubsystemForWindows" (#LSW) the wrong way around "#WindowsSubsystemForLinux" which is wrong because it's not #Wine / #Proton that allows running #Windows #Applications on #Linux.

4. They don't do an actual #Windows subsystem for #Linux aka. kill Windows and support Wine!
