Die #Alstom-Begründung mit #POSIX als "Bösewicht" halte ich noch aus anderem Grund für nicht nachvollziehbar: Ich vermute, dass "32-Bit" oder "POSIX" weder Anforderungen noch explizit (inkl. Risiken) erwähnt wurden.

(Habe das Urteil aber nicht selbst gelesen.)

Why should you care about the POSIX Shell? Because it is the *system* Shell for POSIX systems!

It's the default Shell when executing commands with e.g., cron, in a Makefile or Dockerfile, the Ansible Shell module, and anything else that uses the system(3) call explicitly like C, m4, AWK, Perl, Tcl, Python, etc. Some will honor the SHELL environment variable (like ex), some will not (like ed).

You may not have expected it, but FTP works out of the box, in termux, which means that FTP also is baked in the base install of termux, which still has a small footprint

GNOME has had that system for more than two decades or so IIRC {if I recall correctly} they're 27 ATM.
I had seen it in the first couple of years of GNOME spawn and development, when the programmers chose the route of less configuration & more dictation

You can also keep the shell evironment permanent, through termux itself, and of course you should also use your Android BMS {battery management system}, to tell Android that termux needs to be unrestricted

Termux has so much because It was written for the Command Line jockey. If you ever worked and an Open Source Operating System in {ba/ch/k/z}sh shell;
If you even worked in a closed source command line like DOS you'll feel right that home here
