Having watched it three times now, I have to say The Marvels is frustrating as all hell. I love these characters, but it feels like a movie that didn't take itself seriously. The lack of attention to Monica and Carol's relationship robs the movie of any emotional impact.

I need more Iman Vellani as Ms. Marvel so it's important to me they not fuck the whole thing up.

Using #MCUmovies isn't sufficient? It has some of the "Self moderated" pluses of a subreddit but also some of the same problems: people have to remember to use a hashtag (correctly) and sometimes post the same things over and over, etc

An example of a community here I've found is https://scicomm.xyz/@MicrobioJC. It has a self-selecting nature with a topic focus and uses additional tools to enhance the community. They use hashtags, too.
