Recently I've been thinking about maybe trying to get back into making videos. This time about game development with 100% FOSS toolchain.

I was thinking about teaching , sharing some stuff etc.

Sadly my life is still hectic and my makes it really hard for me to do my day job and still have some free time left.

Another idea was maybe I should get into woodworking. A job you can literally do with no electricity getting by with candle light - future proof?

First proper try I am giving to and seeing a lot of nice potential! I am trying to get veins kinda things for an alien-leaf tool, and you can see procedural systems (bottom) and a random seamless texture of an actual leaf pattern I am working with as reference (top)

Of course L-systems appear again as "the thing" behind complex patterns, I won't go full nature math investigation in here, cause I need something out fast, but Im loving the "trying to get things" with this software

Material Maker 1.4 alpha 1 has had a new release!

This is a preview release of the new major update for . The current stable version 1.3 is built atop Godot 3, but the 1.4 branch is ported to 4, being able to use a slew of new features with the most notable being compute , which significantly improve performance and expand what is possible with nodes.

This new pre-release is a great time to see what's new. Get in and make some !
