I pulled up in Gympie on the way home on Thursday. The #storm was still developing and the #cloud formations were incredible. I hit hail at Eumundi and got off the highway to avoid the worst of it. Slow trip in the heavy rain and was very relieved to get home unscathed.

The beach has always been a wonderful way to clear the mind for me. You can walk so far without realising as the waves and what they cast on the shore capture your attention. Magic hour as the sun sets and the moon takes her place. This stroll ended with a delicious Barramundi meal at The Deck.

This time I went to Haus Bockdorf, commonly known as Gut Heimendahl, a historic estate. The first documented mention of Haus Bockdorf dates back to 1358. The estate has been owned by the von Heimdendahl family for over 140 years and is still used for agricultural purposes. There is also a café and a farm shop.
