Nellie Wallace (18 March 1870 – 24 November 1948) was a British #musicHall star, actress, comedienne, dancer and songwriter who became one of the most famous and best loved music hall performers. She became known as "The Essence of Eccentricity". She dressed in ultra-tight skirts — so tight in fact, that she would lie down on the stage and shuffle back and forth on her back to pick up whatever she had contrived to drop. Her hat sported a lone daisy, feather, or fish bone.

Ayer me termine este libro, las memorias de Alady, que aunque me costó un poco (debido a que me falta ampliar el conocimiento del idioma catalán), me ha parecido digno de comentar.
Alady (nombre artístico de Carlos Saldaña) fue un cómico y humorista que triunfo en España entre los añoa 20 hasta su retitada en los años 60. Conoció la época dorada de las variedades y se codeo con grabdss figuras literarias (Miguel Mihura, Jardiel Poncela) como otras artisticas ( Raquel Meller, Ramper, Pompoff y Thedy). Es un libro lleno de anécdotas divertidas, tiernas y en algunos puntos amargas, mostrando la doble cara del mundo del espectáculo.
Por lo que es un libro interesante que aporta una visión e información, de un tiempo y género del que todavía queda mucho por descubrir, y del que poco nos han hablado.
