Portoroz seaside view. @lysander07 The image depicts a serene coastal scene. In the foreground, a rocky shoreline with large, irregularly shaped stones borders a calm, expansive body of water. The water is a tranquil blue, reflecting the partly cloudy sky above. A small white sailboat is anchored in the distance, adding a touch of life to the scene. The background features a hilly landscape with a densely populated area, likely a town or city, characterized by numerous buildings and greenery. The sky is a mix of blue and white, with scattered clouds, suggesting a pleasant day. The overall atmosphere is peaceful and picturesque, with the natural elements harmoniously blending with the urban setting.

The image shows a presentation slide titled "Research Track in Numbers" displayed on a projector screen. The slide details the statistics of a research track, including the number of abstracts and full paper submissions, the acceptance rate, and the reviewing team's performance. It states that there were 125 abstracts and 98 full paper submissions, with 5 desk rejects and 26 accepted papers, representing a 26.5% acceptance rate. The reviewing team consisted of 23 Senior Program Committee (SPC) members, 156 regular reviewers, 8 emergency reviewers, and 31 subreviewers. The reviewing load was low, with an average of 2.9 papers per PC, 4.0 papers per SPC, and 4.4 reviews per paper. The slide is presented by two individuals standing behind a podium, with one person speaking into a microphone. The background is a plain wall with a green curtain on the left side.

🧠💡 Think your chatbot is reasoning like you?
Think again. Just 1.5% of its neurons are faking intelligence brilliantly.
LLMs don’t “think” — they pattern-match and guess smartly, until novelty breaks them.

🔥 Read how modern AI mimics reasoning and why true AGI needs more than just training data:

These last three weeks, I had the chance to be back at Università degli Studi di Bari as an invited researcher, to continue working with Claudia d'Amato on neuro-symbolic AI and knowledge graphs, after a first research visit in 2024.

I also delivered a seminar to the PhD school of Computer Science and Mathematics, entitled: "The Schema Strikes Back: Refining #KnowledgeGraphs with Neuro-Symbolic AI".

TGDK is launching a Special Issue for Use-Case articles. They are interested in submissions describing use-cases (applications, events, products, services, etc.) that put research on Graph Data & Knowledge into practice. If you work on such initiatives, consider telling the community about them by submitting to the Special Issue!
Deadline is March 31, 2025.
