Ich habe bei @LidlOfficial einen Produktvorschlag für ein neues Gerät von Parkside X20V Team Serie eingereicht und wollte euch nach eurer Meinung fragen.

Es handelt sich um eine Akku-Reinigungsmaschine für Wand- und Bodenfliesen.

Wires go to both sides of the contactors, but the plastic contraption that holds the contactors has pushed out sideways due to a broken off top where the red on/off button touches it. The upper contactor has capsized and the spring is trying to escape. The entire contraption is also at an angle and pushing out to a side.

Speaking of power tools, I find it funny that Lidl convinced Arnold Schwarzenegger to advertise their Parkside brand.

Lidl has two different metal cut-off saws on sale, one that is just an angle grinder in a stand, the other a fancy bandsaw.

Sadly according to reviews, neither can do a proper cut at the set angle, so that's crap.

Luckily I didn't buy either and went home to check reviews first 😁

Shop shelf with a €39.90 Metal Cutting Chop Saw PMTS 180A1, which is basically an angle grinder cut-off wheel in a stand with a clamp. It makes a poor cut, wobbles and can't be calibrated to cut at a right angle, so it's no better than cutting with a handheld grinder.

A €99.90 metal band saw PMS 1100 B2. It looks fancy at first sight but the review shows that it cannot track straight, the band wanders during the cut and it also does not cut at a right angle out of the box, but can be calibrated.

I don't buy a lot of fancy name brand tools, because mostly they're not worth the exaggerated prices, but I have a few.

This Makita hammer drill is fine*, but what they really got right is the box.

Parkside tools come in moulded plastic cases that fit exactly what was in the box and nothing else and only if you put the cable the way it was when you first opened it.

The Makita case allows you to roll the cable aorund the handles as everyone does and still fit in the box, plus compartments for the accessories you will accumulate.

I've found myself cutting away plastic from Parkside boxes to make space for that...

* Apart from the notoriously crappy Makita plastic chuck you see in there, next to a superior, cheaper metal one from China.

A Makita hammer drill in its teal coloured case, a sturdy box with compartments. The main compartment holds the machine with the cable wrapped around both handles. The two support baffles are designed with a gap for the cable to pass through. The lower compartment has a selection of well used masonry drill bits and chisels, the left one two drill chuks with SDS fittings. Everything is a bit dusty but not dirty.

A used Parkside hammer drill in a black moulded suitcase. The tool is in the bottom, the cable a losely coiled up mess whose loops are escaping, making the box hard to close. The lid still holds the five tools it came with, there's no space for storing more drill bits or chisels. A plastic drill chuck is clamped in the bottom part, too.

8 Geranien gepflanzt, und von #Parkside also #Lidl Eigenmarke das #Solar Tröpfchen Bewässerungssystem mit #computer und 10 Liter Wassertank verbaut. Damit sollten die Pflanzen tendenziell einige Tage auch Mal aushalten wenn ich nicht daheim bin.

Das System ist laut Herstellerangaben für bis zu 20 Pflanzen ausgelegt. Mal schauen vielleicht Upgrade ich noch auf mein vertikales Hochbeet.

I've owned 4 tools from #Lidl (Parkside branded) and the 3rd one has just failed. This is a terrible failure rate for items that had light use. Won't be buying anything else from #Parkside.

The last remaining tool is a 3-pin mains socket tester.

It's rather frustrating that #Parkside tools aren't available in a coordinated way across #Lidl stores / websites across Europe.

There's one in particular that I have my eye on that's a kind-of-copy (except in metric, not Freedom Units!) of a much more expensive US tool by Klein tools.

This is absolutely ideal for working in confined spaces and running nuts on a long threaded rod (fitting a tap under a sink?).

Currently in Poland, UK and Germany, but not Spain, yet. 😡

Preso tempo fa questo tassellatore della #parkside da #lidl, nel WE lo scarto e lo uso per la prima volta, dovevo fare dei buchi nei blocchi di peperino, usato punte da 10 mm di ottimo livello...

3 buchi, e il motorino ha cominciato a FUMARE 😭

Ora per un attrezzo che doveva farmi risparmiare tempo, dovrò invece cercare il motorino su Aliexpress e ripararlo, che PALLE 😠
