The grackles have been kind this yr. Usually can't get close enough to get a really good pic. Apparently the trick is to wait till fall when there's huge flocks of them on the the trail 🤷‍♂️. Once on the trail simply stop where the racket is the loudest 👍.

Female/immature male robin on Clear Creek Trail on Wednesday. Still seeing a lot of migrating birds on the trail. This robin was in the company of a small flock of robins on that section of trail.

Orange sulphur foolin' like a fallen fall leaf.

Surprising to see one after 1st frost but it was a banner yr for orange sulphurs hereabouts. Seems a bit poetic that this is likely my last insect macro of the yr.

Until yesterday I hadn't caught a "glimpse" of a white-throated sparrow in some time. Always feels good to see a species I haven't 📷 in awhile. Seeing lots of warblers & dark-eyed juncos are back. No 📷 yet but still feels good 😄

Don't get many chances to 📷 sports but caught these volleyball players in action the other day. As an amateur I sometimes imagine what it would like being a sports photographer or a photojournalist. Think'd be cool but I'd miss the birds & trail 🤷‍♂️
